Yes, the LEGO version of BB-8 can’t rollin’ because of the stud (except if you use this crazy technique)! This is an old idea from me and I have created the similar post one year ago, but since the quality of the image is low, I had to recreate it into a high-quality and photorealistic render since it was a great meme idea.
And to get the job done, I try to edit and composite the raw image to a more realistic one. The result is worth it even though it’s just a render of a two parts figure.
A massive robot dinosaur from a role-playing game, Horizon: Zero Dawn – Thunderjaw has been recreated in LEGO by Nicola Stocchi. As in the game, it’s a massive model too. The detail and the rendering style looks very similar to the wallpaper design, because of that some of you might think it wasn’t LEGO from first sight, but it’s completely made out of LEGO. Don’t forget about the function – the model is completely posable even there’s disc launchers which can actually shoot. As a posable model, it should have a lot of Technic and Constraction element which can make the model messy right? But it’s not! The model brings a great composition of Technic, Constraction, and System element. This model is as beast as the game model!
Sumo is a great sport, but what about for robots and in LEGO version? So here’s how it came up. Both of the robots are using blade to push each other off the ring (same as real sumo). I tried to recreate the real life scene into a small version, these robots are actually replicated from real life robots. The NXT robot is the small scale of this mini robot and the RCX robot is a small scale of this RCX robot.
